In ancient and modern times, nature nurtures all things, and the cycle of life forms a beautiful circle that seems to have no beginning and no end. There is a philosophical saying in Chinese Taoism called "Sheng Sheng" (life), which means that all changes occur without any end, and that all changes continue to be derived from each other and to grow. This "Sheng Sheng" represents the beautiful circle (cycle of life), allowing us to reflect on the present and look forward to the future. From this perspective, life and even history can be renewed, and it is precisely the past, present and future that are being revisited. In this project, we have extended the concept of "Sheng Sheng" into "Mian Mian” (continuity, or “on and on”), which not only conveys the sense of continuous flow, but also reflects the presenter's concern for continuity.

AIRSIDE and Project CROW join hands to present “The Laboratory of BIZARRE Superpowers”. The Laboratory is split into 4 zones – each designed to bring visitors a wondrous and eye-opening adventure to better understand animal appearance, behaviour, defence mechanisms and relationship with humans.

AIRSIDE's opening exhibition prepares for you a meticulously curated journey, guiding you through the glorious history of Kai Tak Airport and the imaginative artworks of various artists. It invites you to rediscover the significance of flying, to imagine beyond, and to bring the future into reality. "Desire to Fly" features 200+ exhibits and 21 art pieces from local artists. The show comprises three chapters, illustrating a flying journey for the pursuit of dreams, and a glimpse of the changes of times through objects and images from the past. The first and second chapters, "Takeoff" and "Soaring in the Sky," utilize the "Idea Cloud" in the Atrium to present Hong Kong's rich aviation journey and to house artworks by local artists expressing their yearning for free soaring. The third chapter, "Landing," extends to the GATE33 Gallery, focusing on the themes of return and the start of a new journey, unleashing boundless imagination for the future.

AIRSIDE collaborates with SmileyWorld®️ to present the "SMILEY MOMENT" exhibition, transforming the space into a large-scale photo spot brimming with the iconic smile faces of SmileyWorld®️. Participants can immerse themselves in the world of smiling faces in all shapes and sizes, capturing the pure joy and creating a memorable laughter-filled experience.

The first full-metal single engine aircraft is now displayed at AIRSIDE, which was the exact same plane that went through the adventure of flying all the way from Britain to Hong Kong back in 1972 with the Chin brothers. The adventure has set world record. Come learn about the stories of the thrilling journey!
