Come to the Cha Chaan Teng Codex Exhibition — savour a "Tai On Egg Tart," sip on "Tea King" milk tea, vibe to "Kam Shun Beatbox," and join us for a "3:15PM EGG TART RAVE!"☕🥧✨
This event will be hosted in person by the two curators of the exhibition, Charles Lai and Kay Chan Wan Ki, who will guide everyone from the exhibition into a deeper exploration of how the Cha Chaan Teng culture continues to innovate within tradition.
Featured Guest Speakers:
✨ Tiffany Yeung, Owner of Tai On Coffee & Tea Shop — sharing the courage it takes to preserve and transform a traditional Cha Chaan Teng, and the drive for innovation in food.
✨ Theo & Lavitt, Young Owners of Kam Shun Cha Chaan Teng — two brothers who will share how they bring their creative background as Beatboxer and DJ into the running and everyday experience of a Cha Chaan Teng.
✨ Master Lai Wong-ming, Champion of the 1st Hong Kong KamCha Competition — performing a live demonstration of hand-brewed Hong Kong style milk tea and tea-pulling, while sharing insights from years of mastery in milk tea brewing tools and techniques.
