Tugo Cheng’s photography works are a response to Chiu Hiu Tung’s essay, The Birds of Kai Tak, which portrays the myriad forms of birds appearing in Kai Tak. Cheng utilises aerial photography as his primary creative method, showcasing the rich rhythms and aesthetics of the cultural and community landscape from a bird's-eye view. Entitled In Birds’ Eyes, his works were taken within 1 kilometre of AIRSIDE, along Kai Tak River, and in the nearby industrial hub and new residential sites.

Educated in Hong Kong, Beijing and Cambridge, Tugo Cheng is a Hong Kong based architect and fine art photographer who has accumulated an impressive array of international awards, including the “National Geographic Awards”, “Sony World Photography Awards”,“International Photographer of the Year”, and “Fine Art Photography Awards”. Furthermore, he was nominated for the “Hasselblad Masters” - one of the world's most prestigious professional photographic competitions. Influenced by his background in architecture, He composes his works to emphasize the interplay of lines, rhythms, and visual impact. His works have been featured in prominent domestic and international media outlets, including CNN, BBC, SCMP, The Guardian, and Wallpaper*. Notably, National Geographic Magazine showcased one of his photographs on the cover of their April 2019 issue. In addition to exhibiting his works in venues across Hong Kong, Europe, and Asia, Cheng has also auctioned his pieces in both mainland China and Europe, using the proceeds for charitable endeavours. He was named “Perspective 40-under-40 Artist” in 2017 for his contribution in art and photography.

Writer Emily Chao received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has set foot in the realms of journalism, creative writing and education. Firmly believing in the power of words, Emily achieved significant recognition for her literary prowess. She was crowned champion of the Youth Literature Awards for New Poems with her piece "Island Song". Additionally, she was awarded third prize in the “Typographic design for The Hong Kong Literature Season – Sea” essay contest organized by The House of Hong Kong Literature with the work "Learning to Swim Memoirs ". In 2017, she published a collection of interviews with Hong Kong writers titled "Weaving ", followed by the publication of "Steps", a collection of creative works, in 2018.
